We are putting a new wetting agent on three of our fairways. We have three fairways that have a different, heavier soil than the other holes on the course. This year instead of fighting localized dry spot (LDS) I've decided to spray more of a holding wetting agent. This will keep the moisture in the top couple of inches instead of trying to draw down into the profile.
I haven't tried this previously due to the cost but after the previous summers of bad turf and having a little flexibility this season we decided to see how it worked. I'm very excited to see how these fairways do in the coming months
